Stitched Somerset

My love of stitch and photography were happy parallel passions for many a year.  And then one sunny day I visited a small art exhibition near the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia and saw beautiful textile art that opened a wonderful new creative door.  My journey started with learning to 'free machine stitch' - which is basically using the darning facility on my sewing machine to paint.  Photographing my much loved Somerset landscape and beyond provides a wealth of inspiration and here are a few examples of my recent textile art - which will ever be work in progress.
